Bror Gunnar Jansson explores new musical landscapes with the project Bror Gunnar Jansson & the Escapism. The debut album People, co-produced by Christopher Cantillo (Dina Ögon), draws on 1970s soul, inspired by Curtis Mayfield and Otis Redding, blended with modern neo-soul.
With powerful vocals and deep grooves, Jansson sings about vulnerability, marginalisation and the mechanisms of power. The music effortlessly balances beauty and gravity, inviting the listener right up close.
